Local Burlesque star Francesca Bourgault (aka Patty Cake) and SideStream Studio owner Toni
Nagy (aka Tony’s Bologna) are not only producing the show but will also be performing work
that is guaranteed to have your jaws dropped and eyes wide. The curation of the show focuses
on local performers who not only entertain, but also provoke, prod, and play with the aperture of
perception. These artists are not only talented in their craft of movement, but also with their
wisdom of expression. The beauty of burlesque is beyond the physical, it’s an art form designed
to decorate our desires - undressing our assumptions while stripping us of our conventions.
The show’s title, “Revive The Dead Inside” reminds us that even during these frigid New
England nights, there is sensuality and beauty lurking in the shadows of darkness. It is a show
that will explore the gruesome and inspiring possibilities of coming back from the brink. Each
performance will excavate the fertile soil of our collective soul journey as we exhume the longing
of human connection.
