A one-of-a-kind comedic extravaganza of dance, theater, and performance art with a show entitled “Always Too Much and Never Enough” on Saturday, January 13th at Sidestream Studio! Together, we will journey into the subject of relationships through the language of creative chaos. The performers will play with the unstable molecule of improvisation while crafting an alchemy of artistic magic. Local choreographers, dancers, actors, and comedians will dive into the muddy waters of romantic relationships and momentarily drown in the tragic truth of how love can make a mess of our hearts. We will then buoy ourselves back to shore with collective healing and emotional floatation devices. Tickets are available at the door and online for only $10. To register online, simply click the button below and scroll to the class list calendar in Vagaro and click on the show title.
The show will feature an improvised comedic play about a polyamorous “throuple” starring
comedian Toni Nagy and actors Seth Chatfield, and Wren Hannah. The three lovers are
struggling to figure out the rules of their dynamic, but become tangled up in limbs. To elicit the
necessary compassion to keep their relationship thriving, they continuously switch roles –
which only confuses them further. As they Frankenstein pieces of themselves together, they
accidentally form a monster that none of them can control. Local musician Gretchen Siefert will
improvise cello as the soundtrack to this passionate pandemonium.
